These patches were an implementation of unlimited group membership in FreeBSD. They weren't used (primarily because I didn't have the time to explain the strategy -- oh yeah, and stylistic problems) and ultimately there was an alternative implementation done and merged. However, there's some neat things in these patches that might allow us to do some clever things with NFS group restrictions whilst operating with extended groups.
